PARISH REGISTRATION
What does it mean to be registered in a Parish? It means to have your household registered in a Parish Database. Neither Saint Michael or Saint Joseph currently has a Parish database. This means that no one is registered, thus we are asking even long time parishioners to re-register in Flocknote. We have an envelope mailing list, but this not a database. Also, only parishioners who receive envelopes would be there. A complete database is organized as a household with information about each member of the household in it (adults and children). With this in mind, we are now going to use Flocknote as our Parish Database. We had been using Flocknote for electronic communication, but it can now also be used as a Parish Database.
1) There is a link below to begin the registration process, but first read these instructions. Once you click on the link you will be brought to the Flocknote registration portal. You will first have to choose if you are a new parishioner for either parish, or a long time parishioner for either parish.
2) Your next step will be to give your email address or cell phone. You will then be asked to insert a 4-digit code that will be sent to your email or cell phone depending upon which one you choose.
3) You will first be asked some questions about yourself, and then your partner. P.S. flocknote assumes that everyone is married. When ask “Are you married” answer “yes” even if you are not actually married, but are living together in a committed relationship. If you have a spouse/partner you will be asked to fill out questions about him/her. There are not many questions for adults so please answer all of them.
4) If this is a Faith Formation registration, please note that there is one question titled “Type of registration”. Be certain to answer this question and select “Faith Formation registration”.
4) You will then be asked if you have any children, and can register your children one by one. There are many more questions about children. It is important to answer all of them especially if you are registering them for faith Formation. Please note That there are some questions only for Faith formation registration. Since we are using Flocknote for Faith Formation registration it means that next year your information will only need to be updated for Faith Formation registration. If you want to pay the Faith Formation registration fee on-line a line will be texted to you.
4) Finally, you will register any children. If this is a Faith Formation Registration it is important to answer all of the questions about your children.
With Flocknote you will be able to update your information at any time without calling the office. It uses a portal system must like many doctor offices do today. You can get into your family portal at any time to make updates. Google “Flocknote log-in”. Once into the log-in portal you can use your email address or cell phone number to log in. There is no password. You will be sent a 4-digit code to insert.
